  •  A free one-hour “taster” of an experiential methodology on transforming gender relations, called Gender Equity and Reconciliation, was held on Thursday 5 April 2018 at Iziko Slave Lodge, Cape Town. This took place in collaboration with Cape Town-based NGO GenderWorks.

  • A free guided tour of the exhibition was held by one of the artists on International Museums Day, 18 May 2018.

  • A three-hour Gender Equity and Reconciliation "taster" was held at Iziko on Saturday 19 May 2018 to celebrate International Museums Day!

  • A limited version of STILL FIGURING OUT What it Means to be a Man  was shown at the National Arts Festival (NAF) in July 2018 in Grahamstown: the largest annual arts festival on the African continent!

  • A presentation on STILL FIGURING OUT What it Means to be a Man was hosted by London's newly-launched PhotoJournalism Hub at Imperial White City Incubator Innovation Hub on Monday 4 February 2019.

  • A second 3-day Gender Equity and Reconciliation workshop took place - this time at Alliance Francaise in Pretoria - on 5-7 August 2019, also in collaboration with GenderWorks, and once again supported by the French Embassy!

26 participants from diverse contexts and organisations in Gauteng and from as far afield as Tunisia and the UK attended, including one of the men featured in STILL FIGURING OUT.

 

It was a beautiful and transformative experience for the participants and the facilitators!'
